Dental check up is the first appointment. Our secretary fills in a sheet with your contact data and health condition.
Then, you shall be guided to one of our 3 dental offices when you shall meet your dentist; all our dentists are very warm and nice people.
The dentist shall assess the general condition of your denture and shall identify your dental issues; then, the dentist shall present you a few options for treatment, with detailed explanations and the related costs.
You will also get recommendations regarding the oral hygiene program which would be best suitable for you.
Carries and periodontal disease in their earliest stages can only be detected by the dentist. This is why periodical check up once a year is highly important.

CAVITY TREATMENT
Dental cavities or caries are lesions caused by specific types of bacteria that destroy the tooth enamel and its underlying layer, the dentin. In its earliest stages cavities can only be identified by the dentist via dental x-rays. The earliest is a cavity identified, the better for the affected tooth and the easier and less expensive treatment for the patient.
Dental cavity starts off as a coloured dot, then gradually a cavity shall emerge. Without the right treatment this cavity will grow deeper causing the dental pulp (nerve) inflammation, which further requires its removal and obturation of radicular canals.
Cavity treatment aims for:
Removal of the affected dental tissue
Application of remineralising agents at the cavity base
Reconstruction of the teeth (filling) with resistant, functional and aesthetic material

The treatment is done pain free under local anaesthesia.

This state of the art therapy has a whitening effect on teeth up to 8-12 shades within only 30 minutes of treatment. There are no risks involved. Dental whitening is a simple and efficient procedure used to remove stains off teeth and to whiten the teeth own natural colour with up to 12 shades.
Teeth colour is given by the dentin which is visible from underneath the enamel. Certain agents like coffee, tea, wine, get into the enamel and impregnate into the dentin, with zero possibility to have them removed by a simple tartar removal procedure.

Moreover, in our dental office we design porcelain facets, whose advantage is the polishing of a very small quantity of the tooth enamel. Subsequently, the enamel shall be replaced with a facet (like a fake nail), made of porcelain in the lab, in the desired colour and shape, and shall be placed into the oral cavity by an adhesive technique (gluing).

PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
Pediatric dentistry stands for dental assistance provided to children. The treatment of baby teeth is different from the treatment of adult teeth.
For making the environment nice and friendly, the doctors are wearing nice coloured robes which are appealing to children. This is a very less traumatic treatment and children come relaxed into our office.

Pediatric dentistry also includes prophylactic treatments (fluoride treatments, sealants, dental cleaning training). We highly focus on prophylaxis.

PROSTHETICS
When a tooth is highly damaged, it needs to be covered with dental crown in order to restore back its necessary strength to still resist to the masticatory pressure. If the tooth can be no longer saved and its finally removed, the dentulous space can be filled in by either a prosthetic work (dental bridge) that we are able to design in our dental office via computer technology, or a dental implant.
Dental crowns and bridges are fix prosthetic works (cemented works). If the number of lost teeth is higher, a dental prosthesis shall be designed. This must be daily removed for hygiene purpose (this is a mobile prosthetic work).

Zirconium oxide is a strong material used in space technology. In medicine, along the past 20 years this has been used for hip prosthesis. Chemically it is zirconium and O2 combined as zirconium oxide. It is 100% biologically compatible since its main components are partly identical with the minerals existing inside the bone structure. It is causing no allergies or side effects.
What makes these works remarkably stand out from other types of dental works is the use of the CAD-CAM computer system for the computer design of the zirconium cap and its computer assisted polishing (everything done with micrometic precision by the computer, the dental technician is only programming the system).

ENDODONTICS
This is the dental specialty dealing with the treatment of the radicular canal and is the basis of dentistry since a tooth’s life time will depend on this treatment’s accuracy.
We perform these interventions with state of the art equipment and materials.
Locator apex for the exact determination of radicular canal length.
Ni-Ti rotary instruments and ProTaper manual needle instrument will provide suitable enlarging of the radicular canal.
A special irrigation system attached to the tartar removal instrument enables the cleaning and disinfection of the radicular canals (unlike irrigations with needles fit to classic syringes which are insufficient).
Injecting warm gutta percha – the Thermafill system, ensures optimum lateral and vertical condensation of the canal, resulting in precise and accurate obturation.

PERIODONTOLOGY
First signs of periodontic disease is gingiva bleeding, diffuse pains, halitosis (unpleasant smell of the oral cavity). These are the signs of a future disease of the tissue fixing the tooth onto the bone. Dental mobility is a later sign.
Periodontal diseases are caused by bacteria (or other agents) adhering to the gums, the bone and the surrounding tissues as tartar plaque. Removing these factors (plaque, tartar) by periodical plaque removal is the first method for the prevention of this disease which is affecting approx. 3 out of 4 grown ups.
In our office periodontic disease can be accurately diagnosed and monitored. Periodontal pockets are monitored by measuring their depth in 4 spots on every tooth, recording the measured sizes and monitoring their evolution after the treatment.

SURGERY

The most frequent dental surgery intervention is dental extraction. When a tooth is destroyed and can no longer be reconstructed or there are periapical complications, then the tooth must be extracted. The extracted tooth can be replaced with a dental implant or a dental bridge.

IMPLANTOLOGY
Dental implant is a state of the art, revolutionary method for edentulous patients. This is a small size tytan screw replacing the tooth root. The surgery intervention is pain free and consists of inserting the implant into the maxilla bone or the mandibulla bone. Following the intervention the patients can go home the same day. From the moment of the intervention and until the osseointegration (bone cells form a new bone tissue around the implant) , the patients will get to wear a provisory work. The bone consolidated implant can become the support for a crown or dental bridge.
The implant gets inserted on the spot where there used to be dental roots, basically becoming the base of the new teeth which will have functional role and aesthetics similar to own natural teeth.
